My website stats tell me that people are linking directly to photographs on this site and including them in blogs/forums etc, by using the URL of the image and thereby pulling the image directly from this site's server.
When you do this, it costs me money. I pay for the data transfer (aka bandwidth) on this site - and every time a page loads where someone has included one of my images by this means, I am providing material for your site, and paying to do so.
If you want to use one of these photos on your website, please ask me via the contact form. Images being taken directly from this server may be removed and replaced with some other image you weren't expecting. Possibly a rude message. You have been warned . . .
For more information see: The growing problem of bandwidth theft on this site.
Many of the photographs on this site, with the exceptions listed below, are available to buy as high-resolution digital files, for use in print publications or for use on other websites. Images can be supplied at lower cost to charitable organisations. Please contact me to discuss costs.
There are a few photos on this site that have been used with permission. Thanks to CRS Photography for the photo on the robins page, Stephen for the sparrowhawk photo and Peter Parks/ imagequest3d.com for the image on the page about toads. The photos of starlings came from an excellent site offering free nature pictures, provided by Eduardo Sabal. The site, sadly, seems to have disappeared from the web.
